The Northacre resource recovery centre
The &#163;20 million Northacre resource recovery centre is a significant investment by Hills Waste Solutions which will help underpin the company&amp;#39;s expansion into new markets. It is also a key element in Wiltshire Council&amp;#39;s strategy to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. 

Utilising mechanical biological treatment technology, Hills Northacre facility will treat 60,000 tonnes of municipal waste per annum removing metals for recycling and from the remaining material manufacturing a solid recovered fuel (SRF) for use in renewable energy plants.

The role
Reporting to the waste operations manager, the MBT plant manager will manage and take financial responsibility for the performance and profitability of the Hills Northacre facility.

This will specifically focus on production management, ensuring every stage of the process is working efficiently. 

You will be responsible for health, safety, environmental and quality management; team management and development; planned preventative maintenance, purchasing of new equipment and plant; and budgetary and financial management.

The Person
We would be very interested in speaking to candidates with the following skills, experience and qualifications:

*A graduate process/chemical or mechanical and electrical engineer;
*Substantial post-qualification experience in a process and/or production environment;
*Operational health and safety experience;
*Profit and loss and budgeting accountability;
*Management of an on-going, high profile contract;
*Successful team management;
*A professional subscription or qualification.

The successful candidate will be a good communicator and be highly IT literate with a flexible attitude to changing cultures and environments. 

A history of working within the waste management industry would be an advantage, as would any planning, compliance or waste process equipment knowledge.
